Hey, folks! I'm working on a tiki statue that I'll be carving out of wood, starting with my CNC and finishing by hand with chisels. Part of it is a headdress made by chaining pieces (components) together.
I used the Pattern on Path to generate a chain of my components, but that command does not currently support a twist along the path, which I need. The chain is 20 components long, so it's not too onerous to manually twist them all, but one thing that makes it needlessly difficult is that for each and every component I have to reset the pivot point to the tip of the geometry, since for each Move command the pivot point resets to a point within the bounding box which is not where I want to pivot.
So, my question: is there a way to set the default pivot point for Move operations on a component such that once set, any future Move operations on one of those components will start with that?
