When I add the final section (the hand section with its pinion feathers) to the wing shown below and finish adding all the various components that will allow the wing to fold up properly (like in the second and third imges), I'll be adding quite a few more revolute joints. Each of those joints will need a motion link to an earlier, more proximal joint.
The question is: should I link each new joint to the nearest previous joint in the manner of a chain (in a serial sort of linkage) or should they all be linked to a single, common joint (in a parallel fashion)? Would the program find it easier to solve the series case or the parallel case? Or, does it make any difference?
