The function does not work any longer. I don't know if the Problem came with the big Fusion update beginning Nov. or with the update of cura?

What to do?

Thanks for the help!

Hi @Anonymous,

I personally don't have Cura installed on my machine, but I do have a few ideas. I do note that there is a newer version of Cura, 2.3.1 available for download here. Also, one thought I had would be to add the Cura printer as a custom printer in that dialog. To do this, select Custom from the list of printers in the 3D print dialog, and then manually go find the Cura executable. That should do the trick! I suggest updating to the latest Cura version however first.

Thanks,

Hallo James,

took a while before I found the time to check your solution.

Thank you very much. This workflow work!

Selecting print utility "custom" and then pic the .exe file of the Cura Software manually.

On the other hand, it is a kind of misleading that the print utility window has the Cura Software as available option already installed. This could be fixed in a future update.

Anyhow, I am happy again.

Thanks again.

Same problem here, after upgrading Cura to 2.3 I cannot use the standard option for "Cura", but it works as a custom 3D printer.

It would be nice if it could be fixed in the future, since it is kind of misleading

Thanks
Vasilis

One problem with the "Custom" command is that Cura V2, opens a new window every time something is sent from Fusion. According to the thread

https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/1402, it needs the argument --single-instance.

How can I add it in the custom command?

Thanks

Vasilis

I have found that once Cura quit opening from within Fusion if you close Fusion, un-install Cura. It will keep your settings. Then re-install Cura. Now re-open Fusion and Fusion will now send to and open Cura from the Cura selection in 3Dprint.

found out why my cura stopped working for my monoprice mini. I had 2 curas in my program files one in  program x86 and one in program files. the Cura that i wasnt using, though it was uninstalled via remove programs the folder was in the program file with some files that were not deleted. I deleted that folder manually  and boom cura now opens in fusion with no problem. Hope that helps.
