select objects to extrude and other objects extrude

I don't know what happened to my sketch.

Before I was using this sketch to extrude and shell individual leaves of a laurel branch.

Now I did a sketch scale (might not be the problem) and when I select some of the areas (which show selected) and extrude some of the areas don't extrude and some areas that were clearly not selected do extrude.

I am making sure I have the new body selected. 

The screencast shows what I am talking about. 

What am I doing wrong.

I7 3630QM 16Gb ram.

 . . . . . yeah, that;s a bit weird.  Have you tried to extrude each piece individually?  It may be a bug.

Ok... 

Update....

I opened and closed my computer = no change.

I opened and closed the program twice = no change.

I opened and closed the program one more time = everything works properly.

Any suggestions as to what could be going on?

I have worked on a dozen or so iterations of this design playing with size and other stuff.

This is the weirdest problem?

Went back to my original sketch on this design (copied from original design that still works properly) and trimmed some lines to more look like the end extrude.

It worked and the item extruded properly.

The only difference between this sketch and the original is I did a Scale command by .5 .
