Section analysis - outer walls keep visible?

I have a problem with section analysis.

The outer walls always keep visible as you can see in the image below:

I use already the latest version (22nd Aug 2019). I am on a Mac OSX High Sierra 10.13.6.

May it is just a setting somewehre?

Thanks for any help...

File>Export and then Attach your *.f3d file here and end all doubt.

I will wager that it is something simple and logical.

Hi TheCADWhisperer,

I attached the f3d file now, hopefully you can get something out of it.

Thanks...

I was expecting to see an extraneous surface body in your file, but no, only a single body - so I can't explain the unexpected behavior.  Are you sure this is exactly the same file that you show in your original image?

If you attempt to reproduce the issue with this file - do you still see it.

I will make significant wager that the file shown in your original image has a surface body in the file.

Your file works fine on my machine.

The next thing I would suspect is Graphics Card and Driver.

What are your system specs?

Can you create a Screencast Recording of the behavior that you see in action?

Hi,

I created a screencast as you suggested. See below.

My system:

iMac, Mac OSX High Sierra (10.13.6)

Grafix adapter: ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB

In previous versions of F360 I never had such problems with section analysis.

Hi TheCADWhisperer,

thanks anyway!

May someone from F360 team can help further?

@thburn - I admit I have never seen anything like that before.  Just FYI, section analysis is all done with graphics tricks.  The bodies themselves are not cut by the section, just the graphics facets.  This points to some dysfunction in the graphics area.  Possibly this could be an outdated driver on your machine, or there may be some issue on the Fusion side.  I notice that your Mac is a bit old, it may be some changes that are no longer compatible with your hardware.  I have the same OS on my Mac, so it is not an OS issue.  We will let the Fusion graphics team know, hopefully they will comment here.

Thanks for reporting this issue! It can be reproduced on an iMac with a similar GPU like yours.

I've reported it to the development team for investigation, hope we can get a solution soon.

Sally
