Sculpting Match to Parametric Body.

I am attempting to learn Sculpting. I am watching the how-to video in this case:

http://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=GUID-73BF7A68-D707-4687-9E07-285BA7E0387F

And my example is having a manually drawn spline outline of a shoe print, trying to "Match" my T-Spline form to that shape so I can sculpt a shoe on top.

I keep getting an Invalid Input Edges error. Attaching ScreenCast http://autode.sk/2f2fT77

I think it's not working for you because the edge your picking isn't a continuous loop.  Loops don't travel through star points.

the screen cast demostrates what a continuos loop looks like, and star point locations.  also shows using the extrude comand to create a loop and move the stare points up under.  then matching this new loop to the curve.

fyi-the tspine won't match exactly.  the more faces, the better the match.  on the flip side, the more faces, the more difficult and tedious it is to control.

Hi,

@laughingcreek is right, because this isn't a closed loop, the match doesn't work, and you can solve that creating a closed loop, and that can be done by deleting the bottom faces ( shown in pictures below )

Thank you both!

I searched everywhere how to make that bottom edge one whole loop, just got more confused.. Never tried deleting the FACES.. I tried messing with edges and intersections.

You have me back on track with my Minion boots 😄
