Screencast Audio Drops out

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing what I am,...... where the audio starts recording, then after a 30 seconds, the audio capture drops out. Here is a video example.   Have quit Fusion and Screen cast, rebooted and it still drops the audio.   Running an New I-Mac with the ltest iperating system.

I see the audio file that was recorded with your Screencast was of 1:19 duration. We haven't seen issues like this before. Not sure, why the audio recording stopped at 1:19. Also based on your description, it does sound like, it is happening conistently on your machine. Can you try recording a Screencast with some other product and see if the audio drops out after 30 seconds or so?

Thanks,

Yah, I went and looked in the Screencast forum first before posting this.   Yes, I have seen this happen several times when I am recording Screencast.   Full screen mode.  Let me try to recreate it in another program.

Stay tuned.

I PIN POINTED THE BUG.  If the computer goes to sleep.  (IMac)  desktop, then screencast in Fusion looses audio.   If you reboot, and start screencast the problem goes away.   It is the hibernation that causes it.

Hi Pat,

Sorry to hear that you're having audio issues with Screencast. I'm trying to repro your issue. May I know what version of  OS X are you using?

Thanks

hi Pat,

Thanks for the info. I tried several screencast recordings using Fusion on OS X 10.11, with audio recording, and audio is persisted both in Screencast preview mode and playback on the web.

Here are some sample screencasts.

Resuming from manual sleep - https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/100b78a6-fb18-4566-a120-3110c6205ff5

Resuming back from auto sleep - https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/100b78a6-fb18-4566-a120-3110c6205ff5

In order to narrow this down, can you provide some more details?  Are you seeing audio drop issue in both manual sleep and auto sleep modes?

Alternatively, you can delete the existing version of recorder using 'AppCleaner' or a similar app and install a latest version ofScreencast Recorder 2.3 from Screencast download site and let us know if you the problem still persists.

When upload the video from screencast to the clould screencast space, all is fine. When I download it from the cloud and play it, sound stops suddenly. But also today, an error appears about space. What must I do?

ERROR

"Screencast can't start recordiong .. There is no recording space available"

Hi @cecilia_mcpherson,

Are you seeing the audio dropped only in the video that you downloaded or you see the same, when you play it on the webpage?

Coming to the disk space, We try to use only 5% of the available disk space and this available 5% should be more above a certain threshold. If that condition is not met, Screencast Recorder won't allow recording. You would have free up some disk space, before you can try recording again.

Thanks,
