Scoping Parameters

I have two gears with different dimentions, they're 100% parameter driven.  Can I scope parameters to individual components so I can use the same parameters for the calculated values but toothCount is different for each gear?

Yes, you can use the same parameters on multiple gears.  Whether or not they will generate valid gears that will mesh correctly depends on your design.

How do I scope them though?  I want NUMBER_OF_TEETH to be scoped to individual gears but the formulae for calculating radius to be common to all gears.

Then make one parameter RADIUS_ALL_GEARS, and one each for TEETH_GEAR_1, TEETH_GEAR_2, TEETH_GEAR_3, etc.

The functionality you are looking for is named "Configurations" in other CAD systems but in that form does not exist in Fusion 360.

So the same user parameter cannot have 2 different values depending on what Component it is used for.

The solution @chrisplyler posted works well enough the for a half a dozen different gears.

Would scripting be the thing I should be looking at then?
