Scaling down a project

Hi

I have this frame project that as it stands is under half a meter tall and a similar diameter.

I want to create a scaled down model of it, actually so I can 3d print it about 20cm in size.

Is there a feature in fusion that would allow me to scale the design down.

Also, I understood you can go from fusion to a file that can 3d print. Could some one advise me on the process for that.

I hope someone can help.

Kind Regards

Ian

Did you tried the "Scale" tool? 🙂

The problem your going to run in to with scaling, is that at some point the thickness of the flat parts will be to thin to print.   (ie, if you scale it down 75%, your 6mm thick plates become 1.5 mm).

The good news is that this is a native fusion design, so it should be fairly straight forward to go through step by step and recreate the project with the new dimensions you want.

You can right mouse click any body or component and select "save as stl".  Most 3d printing software take .STL files.

Try unstitching the model in the patch environment to get it as a surface and not a solid one

Then scale it down and thicken it
