Hi,

Sorry to hear of the confusion.

It appears from one of your screen shots that your license has expired. This would explain the save icon issue.

If this is true, try clicking the red button and following the instructions to sign up as a student or start up, or purchase a subscription. This should enable the save option.

If this is not true, in Fusion click the Help menu and clear the user cached data (this causes a restart).

If still not fixed, try closing Fusion, searching for and deleting the Web Services folder. Then relaunch Fusion, see if the red button is gone, create a primitive ,and see if the Save option is available.

Hope this helps.

Hi barbak

I have already registered as a student .

but every time i open the app without internet the save icon is gone .

To restore this again when i go online its showing me that the term has expired, again i have to select student and verify.

but this problem wasn't there before , I could easily save and export my files without going online .

and i cleared the user cache files , it didn't solve the problem

Abdul

Hi,

Wondering if there's an account issue or configuration.

Can you launch Fusion, click Help > Diagnostic Log Files and PM me the ZIP?  This will help us see what's going on.

Also, when online, can you try clicking on the Settings button in the Data Panel and select "Cache This Project"? Then go offline and see if the project/designs are available to open.

Finally, are you connecting via a school network or something else?

I have the exact same phenomenon with my german version of Fusion 360. For me it worked totally fine until I updated on the latest version a few days ago (2.0.4114). I can't tell for sure if the update is the problem, because I didn't use Fusion in offline mode for a long time. I tried the solutions suggested by @baribak but they didn't work out for me either...

@Anonymous From the logs there's no clear indication of what the root cause is. However I suspect program file corruption. A couple of things to try:

Go to c:\users\{username}appdata\Roaming\Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Options and delete the NMachineSpecificOptions.xml file. Then go to C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Options\{GUID} and delete NGlobalOptions.xml.  Next go to C:\Users\baribak\AppData\Local\Autodeskand delete the Web Services folder. Then launch Fusion and login.

Only other option is to complete both the Control Panel > Uninstall process, then run the Clean Uninstall utility, and reinstall.

One last thing is to see if there's any redirection happening in your Hosts file. This can be found in c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. In this file look for entries without a pound sign (#). If found add the pound sign to comment out the line and see if it helps.

@aurel.beheschti The above may help in your case. If not, please include log files if possible.

Hi Baribak,

I did follow the steps and deleted the folders and files you asked me to delete, turns out it's not helping,

I already uninstalled and reistalled fusion twice before posting the situation on the forum, do you recommend me to do it again?

Hi,

Sorry to hear of the continuing issue.

Some scenarios to check out:

  1. When doing the uninstall/reinstall did you use Control Panel? If so, did you also run the Fusion Cleaner? This is available here. To use this, download it and first run the uninstall via Control Panel, then run this, then install and see if you connect.
  2. Can you login directly to A360? Via a browser go to https://myhub.autodesk360.com and see if it lets you login. If so, in the hub one option is to open a file in Fusion. See if the file opens online using this method.
  3. Check your environment settings: Run a Command window and type SET. Check the environment settings for anything with HTTP_PROXY. If this is present remove it and check the connection.
  4. Check the Hosts file for any entries that may be redirecting your login.  This file can be found at c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and can be opened in Notepad. In this file, lines starting with a pound sign # are commented out. If anything is not commented out note it and then add the pound # sign  at the beginning to disable it. Then try launching Fusion.
  5. Check your system firewall and antivirus settings to ensure they aren't blocking our attempts to connect.
  6. Lastly, try creating a new Admin account on your system (via Control Panel), install Fusion there and see if it runs.  If so, then you know there's something in the environment in the other account that's preventing us from connecting.

Thanks for your patience as we work this out.

Hi Baribak ,

sorry for the late reply.

I did uninstall from the control panel and used fusion cleaner app ,

with that not working, I created a new admin user and tried.

but mate, that didn't work out either .

and the commands in the folders have % sign,

do u think there is a problem with my account?

cheers,

Hi.

Glad to hear the issue is resolved. I know in this release we made some improvements in the area of offline and am glad to know it helped.

I did notice in the log files that there seems to be connection issues with the network. This was seen as calls to check entitlements that timed out on the network. Moving forward if you encounter the issue again you may want to check that aspect of your system.

Again, glad to hear the issue is resolved.

Thanks for using Fusion!

I had the same Issue with 2.0.4854. My Internet connection did not work very well and Fusion started to show me that my license was expired. I could neither save nor export but did not want to waste my work.

So I waited a couple of hours until my connection got fixxed, but Fusion kept the unlicensed state. I clicked on my name and the account information and eveything was listed right.

So I tried to re-login in Fusion. Worked fine, BUT clicking the logout button completely killed my work without even asking.

Are you serious? Worst user experience ever.
