Save Copy As produces invisible design

From a complex design, I selected one of the components (so I could use some place else) and Saved As a new design. Now if I open that new design, it's invisible:

If I select the Body, I can see its ghost image:

I cannot activate any of the sketches (the light build won't change to yellow and you can't see them). However, like the body, if I select them, I can see their ghost:

The original component was based on other existing components in the original design. By saving it (extracting from the original design), it lost all relationships (as I expected). What I didn't expect was ending up with a ghost component 🙂

That looks indeed like a bug!

I think I've had this happeninge when trying to open designs that were not completely done with the "save" process, which generally seems to take longer than necesary.

Be aware that when you save components out into the data panel as a separate design, they are not automatically linked back to the design they are originating in ( I have an idea in the idea in the idea station suggesting that it should).

You can insert them into new designs as linked compenents, but if you want to use it as a linked comonent in the design it originates from, you'll have to delete it there and reinsert it from the data panel.

I have had this happen before, make sure the component (and all related bodies) you are saving as a copy are unhidden.  Then try saving again.

If the original component is hidden you get the ghost effect in the new file.

That should clearly not be happening! Thanks for reporting this.

As can be seen in the screenshots, the lihgtbulb clearly indiates that the body should be visible.

That did it. The component it was related to was one version of many I created later. The original component was hidden when I saved it. Unhinding before saving it made it work.
