Rotate current view 90 deg

Is it any way, I mean shortcut to rotate current view 90.

I can use arrows at the cube at the right upper corner, but this works only in "standard" views.

When I use "LOOK AT" and then select face - not always view is rotated as I want it.  Sometimes would be nice and easier to rotate it for 90 deg CW or CCW. Or maybe there is an option to set rotation angle?

Thanks

Marek

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for asking about that.

Currently, we do not have a Keyboard Shortcut for Rotating the view by 90°.

I think this is a great Idea and you should post this in our Idea Station with the link here

I look forward to see your post in the Idea station.

Please, keep me updated.

Thanks you,

If you select "Constrained Orbit" at the bottom" , then left click over the faint circle that appears, you can spin the current view CW or CCW.

Not the shortcut you were looking for, but is that what you were looking to do?

This doesn't work unless the view is TOP, SIDE or BOTTOM. Does it?

I have the same wish since many of the sketches I work with not is aligned with the world map. A bit annoying drawing in e.g. 90 degree angle.

It doesn't matter what the current view diection is.  Using the circle that shows up after selecting "constrained orbit" from the bottom of the screen will spin the current view CW or CCW. (you have to hover diretly over the circle till the icon changes)

I can see that, but then I have to rotate it 90 degrees in free hand right? I just wish for the ability to rotate it like if in world map coordinates.

As a workaround, you have the option to set the current view to the Front View while sketching or after using Look At, after closing the sketch just reset.

Yes, it works in case when normal vie is set somehow aligned with the geometry, but in some cases, as I have showed at the very beginning to looks like normal view orientation is random or aligned to something I do not know to.
