Paging @MRWakefield :

I put the following in your custom thread creator:

Type Size TPI ThreadDesignation CTD Class Tolerance (Med) MajorDia PitchDia MinorDia Class Tolerance (Medium) MajorDia PitchDia MinorDia TapDrill (in) TapDrill (mm)
BSW 25/32 36 25/32 BSW 25/32 - 36 BSW Medium 0.00304 0.798 0.781 0.763 Medium 0.000 0.802 0.784 0.766 0.774 19.7

The thread shows up in Fusion's thread dialog, but it's not creating the thread at the expected diameter:

Where did I go wrong?

@etfrench A couple of observations. First the form should be set to 8, it used to be 7 but got changed at some point!

I noticed in your XML file you are using scientific notation for the numbers, not sure it that is supported, not seen it used in any other thread files I've looked at.

EDIT

Looking closer I think you have some errors as well. Have you tried using the thread maker utility from this post?

Sorry to hear that you're having problems. As @HughesTooling has highlighted: there seem to be a number of errors in the XML file. Did you create the CSV file in my application (via the Manual Entry form) or did you create it in a spreadsheet application/text editor/etc? Would you be able to post the CSV file for us to take a look at? Any screenshots you can provide could help as well.

EDIT:

Looking deeper, I've noticed that the information in the XML file you posted doesn't match the information in the body of your post. e.g. the XML seems to be a very messed up BSW thread file whereas your post says RMS (which is Whit form, however, this particular size isn't included in the BSW/BSF series).

FYI you'll find BSW/BSF and RMS thread files in my post here.

Hope this helps.

I've created a Windows application (and now Mac as well) for creating custom thread files for Fusion. You can find out about it here. Hope you find it useful.
If you need to know how to offset threads for 3D printing then I've created a guide here which you might find useful.
If you would like to send me a tip for any help I've provided or for any of my software applications you've found useful, you can do this via my Ko-Fi page here.

The file was generated with this application.  Your file worked perfectly.

I've not had any experience with that spreadsheet+macro so I can't comment on it. I'm pleased my file worked for you though.
