Rigid Groups

I created a body and joined components to it. Then I selected the whole thing and made a rigid group. But when I need to move the group, many of the parts are left behind. They come unjoined. I assembled a bolt, some washers and a nut as a component. Then I made it a rigid group. But I can only select pieces of it. If I need to move the whole thing I have to select each peice of the component. The menu says that the items in a rigid group are treated as a single object when moved or when joints are applied. But I couldn't even select the objects as a group. I had to drill down in the browser to each body that makes up the component to select it so I could move the whole group as one.

What did I misunderstand?

Thanks,

Are you including a body in the group, that is something that is not a component? Joints like rigid group are made between components. Effectively you may be including the root component.

A screenshot or a .f3d file could help us provide more answers.

Just a note of caution, the "Include child components" option shown in the video does not work( it's a recorded bug)
