Right-click not working...

Hi Everyone,

Ive been fudging my way through a sketch, doing quite well, but I keep pressing A caus thats the keyboard shotcut in my old cat software for the select tool. Anyway, to get back into the sketch, I find the sketch on the browser, right click and choose edit sketch.

But, for some reason, its now gone.... Any ideas? I just got a few appearence and texture related options now...?

Pete.

I tried to replicate this behavious, and I do indeed see the same menu but only when I right click on the lightbulb area of the sketch. If instead you right click on the text area where it says 'Sketch1' or the Sketch pictogram, you get the full menu where it lets you edit etc. Maybe a bug, or at least not intentional? Don't see the purpose this alternate menu serves..

Hope that resolves your issue!

The odd thing is it only happens if it's the first time you bring the menu up. If you finish a sketch right click on the bulb you get the short menu now if you right click on the sketch name you get the full menu but when you go back and right click the bulb  this time you get the full menu. If you right click on the sketch name first after you finish a sketch you don't get the short menu at all.

Edit just wanted to add I'm using a PC.

What does it mean when the light bulb background is blue?

Hello everyone,

I will try to answer what questions I see in this thread, there are a few different ones so I will do my best. 🙂

@Anonymous I can see the same behavior that Ndenekamp has mentioned where if you RMB on the visibility control you see the same menu that you have in your image.  If you click on the text do you see the same behavior still or is what you are seeing similar?  I have logged an issue internally to track the RMB on the visibility giving a different menu.

@HughesTooling I believe the behavior that you are seeing is actually related to selecting the sketch or sketch folder, please correct me if I am wrong, if so I want to better understand what is happening.  When you RMB on the sketch in the browser you will see the blue highlight over it, now if you RMB over the visibility it should show you the sketch menu.  Now if you RMB in open space you will see additional options, but you will also see the original 2-3 options shown when you first RMB over the sketch.  If you left mouse button in the graphics window to unselect everything, and then RMB over the visibility icon you should see once again the 3 options for appearance, visibility, and texture map controls.  Does this sound correct?

@SGoldthwaite The blue highlight in the browser a lot of times signifies that that area has been selected.  I have seen issues where the blue highlight sticks even after your selection is cleared, and it is something that we are aware of and tracking.  If you reset the browser by opening the file again it should no longer be visible is this correct?

The blue background goes away if you click on something else.  When I took my screenshot, nothing was selected in my model.  It feels like it's a small bug.

I was just going to get some screen grabs for you to demonstrate what I did and it made Fusion crash. Here's the error report number CER_119302572

As soon as you click Stop Sketch and the sketch closes right click on the bulb next to the new sketch and you get this short menu. You can keep right clicking on the bulb and you keep getting the short menu.

If you move to mouse over the sketch name and right click you will get the long menu. Now if you go back and right click on the bulb you will get the long menu again. It doesn't really matter, it's just odd.
