Resolving Flange with Intersecting Body and Angled Flange Options...

Hi,

I am working within sheet metal and have just applied flanges to a basic design I created. I'm having issues where there will be interference when I unfold it to cut out on a plasma table. I have attached a picture marked up in red showing roughly how I'm trying to adjust the flange by removing the material that is within the red triangle. Can anyone show me the most efficient way to do this? I've looked at several videos online and can't seem to find a solution. Thanks for taking a look.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for posting.

I have check the attachments and done some workaround.

make flange with 0° for both intersecting edges, and than use bend.

this method will gives you correct result.

Please take a look to attached images.

Thanks.FlangeFlangeBendBend

Pradip, thank you very much! That did the trick. I had a little problem figuring out what you were talking about at first as I'm relatively new to working with the Sheet Metal environment so I put together a screencast to show step-by-step.

Hi @Anonymous ,

You have created a correct one.

By this method you can Also, Make Flat Pattern for plasma cutting.

Please accept the solution if you get it done.
