renders turn black

hello there guys,

i'm rendering a bottle that i cut in sharps, took me a few hours to realize it but it happend! now i'am just 5 days further with the same problem every time!!

i downloaded different liqueds shapes from the internet in different sizes and formats. the problem is: i want it to look transparant and a bit orange/red like rose wine. in canvas it looks absolutely great! in the cloud render and local render it looks afwull and it turns black and sometimes silver... can someone help me?

kind regards

Louis

Hi @louisG8UJ3

The most common issue here is the material itself that you are using.

Did you download the liquids from Fusion 360 Library or just some random ones on the internet?

Try solving the issue by applying a liquid material, setting it's color and putting a much lower absorption distance (as seen in the screenshot below), this can make the most difference.

Please share the design. Can you also share the liquids downloads in original format?

In general the Fusion 360 render engine is very weak for rendering glass and liquids, as it has implemented a very simplified physical model.

hi there,

well it's just water from the liqued library in fusion 360. absorption distance i changed but nothing changed, can it be a problem with absorption distance in physical material? i'm testing now

Please share the model, so we don't have to make undue assumptions.

yes! on it's way, it's a f3d format ok? and it's another splash it turns silver or black depends on the absorption distance in physical materials. already thank you for having a look Trippy.

IN its current form I don't see any of the problems you are describing.

The liquid render is what I would expect:

i just want it transparant as you, know i uploaded exactly the model that i send and renderd it. it's just silver like aluminum, in canvas it's transparant...

Ahh ... I had thought about that yesterday but was too busy at work testing it out. You are correct!

This is yet another case where the local and the canvas render look distinctively different. The image I posted in my last post was canvas rendered.

Unfortunately I don't think that will change anytime soon. I've posted a number of shortcomings of the render environment and I've been told that there are no improvements for the render environment on the roadmap at least for this year.
