Rendering bug?

Folks,

I've got a small assembly with a few decals applied, and when I try to locally render it, I get an odd effect where 1/2 of the body I mirrored in the main component doesn't render at all.  I'm rendering locally, but don't think that should matter, but I'm new enough at rendering that I have no idea if this is a bug that is known, or a technique issue or ??

My initial thought is I should just build a completely new main body without using the mirror and then make a new assembly using that, but wondering it there is an easier way.

Screencast below - any suggestions?

Thanks -

Hi @CruftMeister,

Thanks for posting!

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the screencast came through with the post. Would you mind trying to post it again? Would you also be able to share the design with me so I can test the behavior on my machine? My thought here is that, if I can reproduce it on my machine, chances are that you have run into a bug.

Thanks for the information! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Cheers,

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the speedy response.  I was going to try posting the screencast URL again but I can't seem to find the page where the screencast is stored. If you can give me the root level URL to get to wherever they are stored, that would help.  I tried using the "Open Link" command in the Screencast tool, but nothing seems to happen.

To make matters worse (or better I suppose) I'm not seeing the same behavior since a reboot this afternoon.  I'll see if I I still have the issue on my home machine (on my laptop now) and if I do I'll share the model.

I think for now lets call it case closed, but I will still share the screencast if you point me to the right URL.

Thanks,

@CruftMeister - if you visit this page and scroll down a tad, it should list your screencasts. Thanks!

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the link, I am bookmarking that sucker.  The curious part is, that Profile page only shows one screencast, but while I was poking around the screencast App I came across the "Manage Screencasts" menu item (see screenshot attached).  That link takes me to a completely different page called the "Contribution Dashboard" that has all of my screencasts. Should these two pages reflect the same content?

In any case, I took the link that I was looking for out of the Dashboard page and have added it below

@mike.tessier this was the behavior I was seeing, but can no longer replicate.
