It appears that Fusion's right click and rename function in the data panel no longer renames the component at all points. Regarding the basics, Fusion is up to date and has been restarted. For example, I have renamed a component from the data panel. It is the active component CN-ET-PW-LF17, renamed from CN-ET-PW-LF16.
Now, the the open component itself still has the previous name. Note the shape matches that of the item in the data panel, so it must be the same part.
Even in an assembly, the component still carries the old name.
This is a basic functionality feature and at least for me the issue has been ongoing for about a week. Can it please be fixed?

I tried to create a design and inserted a component file(external reference/Xref) into it, then renamed the component file in data panel, the new name for the component file and the design also updated. You said the component CN-ET-PW-LF17 was renamed from CN-ET-PW-LF16, but you have both of them in data panel. How did you get the new component, via Copy? And when did you insert the component, before rename or after rename operation? If possible, can you record a short video to show your workflow?
Hi,
Yes, I was using copy to create the new parts. This wasn't tied to assemblies, but would carry over to them. I went ahead and tried to make a screen recording of the issue, but it seems to work fine now. I made an example of the flow, showing how it now updated a part that previously had a name that wouldn't update. Very peculiar.
