Hi all,

I'm making a dining chair on a cnc and the attached file is one of it's legs.

Can someone help me to:

1) Remove fillets from the attached design in order to make toolpath?

2) How do i measure the angle (marked in red in the screendump)

PLease explain how it's done.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards

Thomas

frequently in order to delete fillets you will need to select the entire chain of fillets, not just a single segment.

you can delete that slot by selecting the faces and hitting delete. (instead of the extrude and replace face you were trying to use)

one of the faces you are trying to get an angle from isn't planer.  it has some curvature to it. (I demonstrate this with the analysis tool in the vid below).  best you can do is an approximation.  a few ways to do it, the one shown uses a plane on a path a sketch with projections, and a line drawn in to use for the dimension.

all this is demonstrated in this vid-

Hi,

The demarcated area is not flat, which is why not only can the angle not be determined via the surrounding surfaces, but the question also arises as to how the connection to the neighboring part should be designed.

Thank you Günter,

You are right, it's not flat.

The back piece is also curved and therefore it make sence.

Thank again for your support,

Brgds
