Project a hole from an imported component onto a component

I am using an imported step file that has a complicated assembly (without sketches). This assembly has four holes.

I want to place that assembly on top of a body in my design.

And then I want to "project"? the holes from the assembly onto the body so that, if I move the assembly the holes will move too.

I think it must be a common requirement but I have not managed to do it yet, Thanks!

What is your experience level with Fusion?

In the screen recording I show what I would do. For each new discrete part you'd create a component and then, with the component , start sketching and modeling that component.

To position and orient components you should use assembly joints.

Thank you both! That was super helpful. My level of experience (to answer your question) is about 1 month of pretty serious learning and experimentation. I am sure I am doing lots of things wrong! Folks in this community has been super helpful!
