Registration points on a round internal surface

Hi, I'm trying to put simple registration points onto an egg shape and having no luck. As you can see in the image only 4 of the tube shapes will join to the inside of the wall correctly, using the 'to object' distance. The end 2 seem to break the solver. What am I doing wrong here? The error message is characteristically enigmatic:

"Extent boolean fail. The termination entity might not be fully intersected with the tool body built along the operation direction."

Is there a better way to accomplish this? Thank you.

Try selecting the back side (outside face) of the egg.

I was able to create the extrude selecting that face.

Use the Extrude|New Component or Extrude|New Body operation and make sure the extrusion extends past the outer shell of the egg. Use Combine|Cut operation with Keep Tools option to split the extrusion in two. Delete or hide the extra body. Join the other to the egg.

Thank you! Would have loved this to be a single extrude but I had to do it in three.
