Referenced Component Moved after Creating Another Component How to Update New Position in Sketch?

I moved a component in assembly that I referenced when creating a new component.  When I enter the sketch of the  new component the referenced component is in it's old position.  How do I update that? I've chosen capture position.

Not recommended!

Please share your design. Export as .f3d and attach to a post.

.f3d isn't option for me but here is link and archive.  So I'm not supposed to choose capture position when I move component? I thought if I didn't it would move it back to where it was.  Thanks

No, you are not supposed to move a component so you don't have to use Capture Position.

Ground the Base component to lock it in place.

Us a joint to position the Mason WideMouth where you need it

Start a Cap component and use an as-built joint between it and the MasonWideMouth.

I am guessing the cap is supposed to stay attached to the MasonWM, so when you change the joint position, both will change.

Unfortunately your design does not reveal the design intent, so some f this is guesswork.

Actually, going though the design I don't really know what you need the MasonWM for at all. It's not referenced at all and can be deleted..

yeah the mason jar was inserted component and I hadn't figured out what I wanted to do with base yet thus my predicament.  so what your saying is I need to delete cap and restart my design? Thanks

The way to fix it is to edit it's position back in time also.

I am not sure that is the case. If you can explain in more detail what your thinking is, then we can move forward from there.
