Rectangular pattern while fitting a bigger space

Hello I'm working on a cabinet which is not a rectangle shape, I thought I'd had dividers using the rectangular pattern to divide my piece by a number. It works fine but I'm trying to find a way for the piece to be the correct size since it has to become bigger and bigger.

but if I'm correct in the file you provided the shape is a rectangle, I have no issues by making a splitter in a shape that's a rectangle my issue resides in the size of a splitter when the shape makes it so I need to have a wider splitter.
