I'm working on recreating this display stand for game cartridges, but I'd like to automate the number of columns and rows:
I drafted a basic version of the stand, with plans to tweak the dimensions later. However, I got stumped at trying to rectangle pattern the rows. It's my first time working with this operation and was I hopeful since there is a section for 'Axis 2', but whatever I try, I can only select one axis.
It patterns everything upwards as desired, but without being able to offset the rows in the Y axis (backwards), it doesn't match the model I am trying to recreate.
From here, I think I could just use Move/Copy operations to shift the top rows backwards by the required offset and then extrude to fill the missing section, but I was really hoping to automate everything and I believe this would require manually Move/Copying every time I wanted to change the number of rows.
I have attached the project file - I would be so grateful please for any insight/advice. It's just a bit frustrating because I know I could achieve this if it wasn't for the slight angle..
