Hello Folks

I'm totaly new to this so please excuse my TOTAL! ignorance. But I create a 2 point rectangle, give it a demension of 2" X 1.5" and it is still blue. This is the only thing on the sketch at this point. I am trying to follow John Sauners video on the Fusion Friday #10 In his video the rectangle turns black so I'm guessing It is a setting I've mistakenly changed some how.

thanks Daniel

Most likely, your rectangle is not fully constrained, because none of the points are grounded.  If you drag the rectangle, does it move freely on the screen, without changing size?  You need to have at least one point fixed.  You can do this explicitly by using the Fix/Unfix command from the context menu or the Fix/Unfix constraint from the sketch palette.

Most likely, in the video you are watching, one of the points is placed at the sketch origin.  This will ground that point, because the sketch origin is always fixed.

Hope this helps,

Jeff thanks for the response,

I figured it out.It was grounded on the origin but in preferances under preview the box for it to change colors wasn't checked.

Thanks again

Danny
