Real-time Collaboration doubt

We are a team of students working on a prototype and we where colaborating on the same file from different computers. When one saves, a new version is created but the others cannot update their file to see the changes (or at least we haven't been able to find the option).

We do see a small mesage that promps to update the current design for the latest changes, but nothing happens when we click on it.

Is there a way to collaborate in real time, or do we need to work one at a time in that file?

I just found the answer... is something being implemented and that will be released soon: Branching and merging.

Yes I am looking forward to see the Branching and Merging.  As it is now when you guys work on the same file are you actually working on different bodies/components in the file?  Or is it possible that two people are working on the same body?  I am working on different workflow options for collaboration and would like to know how you guys are trying to approach it.

There are several ways you can break off into new components to modify inside one file but it gets pretty tricky.  One possible option is for you guys to make the base file that contains the components you want, do a save AS(which will save the file and all its history but only the promotoed version).  Make copies of this(easy from Fusion or A360) for each person.  Then they can detail their parts.  When they are done simply right click on all the bodies or components they dont need to "remove" and then make one distributed design.  This is common in other CAD programs but unfortunatly there is no link back to the original file.
