Randomly create joints

Hello everyone,

I am planning to do a new hobby project and now wanting to create a prototype in Fusion 360.

The plan is to create a shelf whose boards can be swapped by a robotic arm. (Probably not a robotic arm by definition, but since I don't know what else to call it I'll leave it at that.)

To validate my prototype could work I would like to animate it, picking up shelf boards and dropping them on another level.

To visualize what I want to achieve I have create this simple 2D version:

https://jsfiddle.net/z51L8uje/1/

Every time when in this HTML animation the Picker-Arm goes from green to red I would create a joint, and when the picker goes from red to greed the joint would be disposed.

Is it possible to do this in fusion?

Greetings

André

Yes, possible - I think, but I don’t use the Animate section of Fusion.

Your graphic routine, in Fusion, would be along the lines of a shelf and arm, as if Planar to the wall, and you should be able to input the travel paths, and visibility controls.

Animation section ignores Joints.  Motion Study animates Joints.

Might help....

After thinking about it, of course it does not need to be random. Important is, that I can test each position once.

Then I saw your suggestion using motion studies and it seems to be right what I need.

Thank you!
