"Widths Mate" between 2 components

Can someone please help me figure out how to set width mates between components. Basically trying to center a component between 2 other components. For example center a part between 2 vise jaws without touching the jaws. Unless i doing it wrong "between two faces" in the joint command is a single component.

Thanks

Use Joint Offset from the fixed jaw, or

Sketch the centre point in another component,

Might help....

The "between two faces" that your referencing places a joint origin in the active component.  You thin use that origin as one of the pick points when applying a joint between 2 components.

I would like to be able to update the distance and have the center point move with it. This is a very easy thing to do in solidworks. As the model geometry changes the widths mate updates to stay centered. I cant figure out if this is possible in fusion.

Very much available in Fusion,

whatever is going to move / update must also be the Joint anchor location.

Attach a file with a problem description, dummy geometry will do.

Might help.....

I'm pretty sure i got its handled now. I haven't drawn any reference geometry but I can see how that would work. Instead of trying to center my part in the vise jaws (2 components) I am centering it in the stock body that I modeled that will be what I machine form (single component). I'm using between 2 faces. I added the stock geometry as a parameter to be able to update the size. As I update the size the part does self center. Thanks for the help.
