Hi,

Thinking it doesn't like the turn at the corner. What if you made a line from that corner turn

straight down to the rail on both sides and did it in two stages? That way you would have a

turn connected to a short pipe.

No.  Not like that. 
Rail 3 and 4 will work if similar to 1 and 2 tangent direction, to the vertical edge of the box, but not to the horizontal.
