"Failed to perform boolean operation" on a combine cut

I was doing a Live Stream by Autodesk Fusion 360's Brad Tallis and go to a part where we had to go back in time and add fillets before a suppressed feature so it wouldn't affect that feature, then unsuppress to get the desired result. I followed along to the T up until the point when I couldn't slide the history marker forward and have the same result as he did with the combine cut without getting an error saying "Failed to perform boolean operation" on the combine feature on the timeline.

Any suggestions on how to keep up with Brad Tallis?

Here's a link and time of how far I got:

(8) 360 LIVE: Laser Projector Build - Part 2 - YouTube @1:26min

Dean-

Let me take a look at your model and see if I can figure out what is going on.

That is why the operation leaves remains of solid or surface that creates a conflict. Try to get the piece to penetrate a little more or make the extrusions you want to leave in the other piece a little larger.

I moved the part so the combine (cut) cannot fail.
