Push pull - plane gets in teh way

Hi

I am doing lesson 2 on getting started where we array 6 small circles on the bottom face of an extruded cylinder.

When I try to push/pull these circles, push pull selects a suface defined by the top inner edge of the cylinder, so I can't get at the circles below.  I tried deleting this 'pseudo' surface - but to no avail.

How do I disable or otherwise get past this top surface

In Fusion, if you press and hold down the left mouse button when selecting, you will be presented with a menu of items that are selectable.
