Proper DXF formatting?

I tried to import a saved DXF from good ooooold Adobe Illustrator 4 , I used the default settings and got a "failed import" from F360.

Are there any settings F360 prefers?

I don't currently have access to Illustrator, but I was curious if you tested the DWG file type as well. Did it give you the same message?

Ooops... minor screw up here.

I thought I put a had trouble with a DXF file... turns out I was having trouble with a DMG file, I'll give them both to you, naturally.

Bill, I don't know if it makes any differance, but does that options box I showed do much? Surely one of those setting would help, right?.

SADLY I can't get the DXF into another file (at least not will copy and paste internally) it seems like a lot of opportunities use other resources are still having trouble... It's rather frustrating!

Would importing from illustrator cause problems in general? The use and result of the line tool seem quite different from Autodesk methods.

I tested both your DWG and DXF file in several versions of AutoCAD.
I had no difficulty with you DXF file.
All versions AutoCAD 2012 - 2014 complained about the DWG.
They were eventually able to bring them in, but complained about the text.

I would suggest that you try the DXF file.
I did not have any issues bringing in your DXF file into Fusion.

To get the text into Fusion you'll have to explode it in to curves. Are you importing in to another design, if so to edit you'll need to break the link to the external file..

Then right click on the base feature and select edit again.

Then you will be able to edit the sketch.
