Hello to all,

I'm working ias a Design Engineer  in a company that is transitioning from Autodesk Inventor to Autodesk Fusion 360. I would like your opinions on the best practices for file organization and naming conventions for individual parts and assemblies in a cloud-based enviroment.

We already have ahave a library on our local server containing numerous assemblies, annd parts distributed across diffirent projects. Our goal is to migrate these to the cloud as individual parts.

We would appreciate your expertise in guiding us toward the optimal solution for this transition.

Hi @rd3X7U95

Inventor and Fusion are distinct systems, so you won’t have access to the Inventor feature tree or timeline when working with Inventor files in Fusion.

When you bring an Inventor file into Fusion, it behaves similarly to importing a STEP,IGES file. you’ll only get the solid geometry without any of the parametric history or design features associated with the original model.

How to export Inventor assembly files and open them in Fusion

In Fusion all the files within the inventor can be organized in the folder within the Project Folder or Multiple project folder.
