Project sketch block entities from one occurence to another

I don't know what I am doing wrong.

When I project an entitiy it shows purple. I can't modify it. Trim/Extend - close the sketch like I want to.

What am I doing wrong?

This seems like the functionality changed.

What I have is previous Geometry and I want to use the silouette of the previous geometry - or parts to help define the new sketch. (Like use edge in Pro/Creo/Engineer)

Right click on the projected entity then pick break link from the menu. After you break the link the entity will no longer update if you modify the part you've projected from. If you want to keep the link you'll have to sketch a new curve over the projected curve and use constraints to link the 2 curves.

Thanks.

This seems like it's a step back in time. Maybe its a patent thing they can't let it be modified after being projected?

I could have sworn when I first started using Fusion 360 it wasn't like this.

I am thinking I might put in an enhancement?
