Problem with Lofting (How do I join 2 surfaces natural & smoothly?)

Greetings everyone, this is my first post on this forum here.

I'm having a trouble connecting two faces using loft- it works, but it does not give smooth, natural surface transition, it ends up being an angular sharp face. Is lofting the best tool to connect these two faces in this situation? Is there a way I can tweak the face on the upper (the arm looking thing) so that they join smoother?

Please see photos below to get better ideas:

Any help is much appreciated, thank you in advance.

My recommendation would be to do this either completely as one cohesive T-Spline (as opposed to 2 separate ones), or do this with solids/surfaces and lofting. Beginners should not mix this as there are a number of traps.

Would this work ?

I have made it work by going back to the sketch & smoothing out the curvature. HOWEVER I noticed what you said is probably the best way to go next time (making out of single T-spline) so I marked your answer as the correct one.

Thank you @TrippyLighting also by the way because I've been saved COUNTLESS TIMES reading your comments across the forum, you're a true hero!
