Problem With Joints

Since the new update I am unable to properly use the joints feature. I've tried using 2 different computers so I know the problem is not on this end. When I try using different joints, the following error is received:

Compute Failed

Undefined Error

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program with little luck. Next I will attempt to make the files from scratch to test if it's a problem with how old files were carried over into the new update.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello,

Would you be able to share the file with us and let us know what your trying to do with the joints so that I can try to do the same thing you are doing with your data?  This way we can both get on the same page and I can find a way to hopefully resolve the issue you are seeing.

Cheers,

What i'm trying to do is to use a slider joint to insert the 30'' rail such that it will be concentric with the 3/4 bushing and corner holes in the main actuator plate. I've tried several other joints and none of them work either.

I will also point out that the 30'' rail was dowloaded as a step file  from mcmaster.

Thanks

Joel,

I tried a few different approches to the model and I was still unable to find one that works.

Next I will consider moving my computer back to before the update.

Thanks

Nic

Hi Nic,

Would you be willing to invite me to the project you are working on?  This way I can see exactly what you are working on?

Cheers,
