Problem with circular pattern

Hi all

I have a problem, i'm working with making a hole in the leftmost 'punch' and then making a circular pattern of the hole to the rest of the punches...

(leftmost blue hole on picture to circular pattern around the blue middle axis... the picture is the final 'broken result')

But when I do this it makes it wrong, even though the 'preview' before I press OK looks correct.

Have anyone expierenced this? is it a wierd bug? i've used circular pattern before with success, also I have tried different things like patterning the feature instead of face or using another axis to rotate around...

If any would like I can make the design public for you on request...

Thanks!!

Hi @Coscor_NPL,

Thanks for reporting this.  Yes, this seems like a bug, and sharing the model will definitely help us investigate.  One quick thing to try, just to see if it helps you.  Try selecting "Pattern Features" (the third icon in the "Pattern Type" setting:

In some cases, this can produce a more stable result than the default, Pattern Faces.

Hi Jeff

Thanks for the reply!

Sadly, I've allready tried the solution you mentioned (pattern features) and it gave the same result.. the only thing I can see I can have done wrong is to select the feature to pattern in the 'feature tree' since I did't seem to be able to select it in the model.

How should I share the file to you? invite your email to a copy of the preoject?

[edit] Well I cannot figure out how to make a copy of my design (So I can keep working on it, and you have a copy to view/edit for bugs) I cannot insert it into another project, either in F360 or A360, and I cannot copy it (as far as I know) in the same project and let you edit this single file... can I share a link and let you be able to download it, would that be enough for you to work with?

Once again... many thanks for the help! really appreciate it!

You can either invite me to your project (or a copy of it), or use "Share Public Link" (make sure that "allow downloads" is checked), and send a private message to me at jeff.strater@autodesk.com with this link.  We will take a look at it and let you know what we find.

Jeff
