Hi, i am new to this fusion 360. I met problem regarding the issues of projecting line on the surface. I can't project the line onto the sphere surface and it is really frustating.
The warning shows **Not support projecting sketch geometry into same sketch, please change the target sketch or geomery**. I dont understand, somebody help me explain why this happened. ;(
You'll have to stop the sketch with the line in it.
Start a new sketch and pick a plane that is perpendicular to the direction you want to project in.
Then you can project the line onto the sphere using the "along vector" option in the dialogue.
The question then is, what do you intend to do with the projected line ?
Thank you sir! I was confused with many things around fusion 360 just now. Now i have figured out why and solved the problem. Guess this was my first of many obstacles in my fusion 360 journey. More to come lol.
Regarding your question, i was just testing various functions in fusion 360, so i just simply project a line on a sphere to test the 'project' function.
No worries! Come back and ask!
