problem model, can't fix it

Hello,

I have a problem model and I am having trouble attempting to fix it.  Basically I don't know how to fix it or if it is even repairable?  This may be easy or a challenge for more experienced users.

Anyone want to try to repair it?

You may want to describe exactly what the problem is.

Oh Ya that could help.. Please review the capture image. the red circles show the inside surface flowing under the fillets and the top surface doesn't seem flat and appears to dive off to make sharp points. Thanks

there were several problematic spots. I wasn't able to screen cast it, but here is the repaired model. the history is turned on so you can step through to see what was done. In hind site, I think I would have just rebuild the model from scratch to insure clean geometry.

Thank you for your time and efforts in fixing this with a timeline for reviewing. I haven't had time to look at your work yet but I do appreciate it very much. Thank you

If this model had a timeline at some point, you may want to share that. Otherwise we can at best provide a model with somewhat cleaner geometry, but you'll still don't know how to avoid the mistakes you've made. There is some pretty horrid geometry in this model.

Of there was some timeline I would share it but the model was originally created with another software. Then recently sent over to me for manufacturing.

I assumed from looking at the model that is was brought in from somewhere else. There are a few possibilities for why the surfaces are such a mess- -origin model wasn't done well -the conversion process mangled things (conversions are frequently imperfect) -combination of the above 2. That said, if you've access to the file in it's native format, you might have some luck letting fusion convert it instead. always worth a try. I'm going to guess that the file you imported was in iges format? if so, you might see if you can get the file in stp format. Also, before doing any repairs, I tried exporting the file as a mesh (stl) file. Mesh mixer was able to repair that file into a 3d printable or machine able format. Of course, that is a one way road and wouldn't allow for easy modifications.

FYI-I hit enter between separate ideas in the above post to create space and make it more readable, but, at least on my end, it just mashed all the text together. Not enjoying this new forum layout.
