possible bug: trim cannot find existing surface intersections

so trim cannot cut the bottle while the trim surf clearly intersects

but when I do cut surfaces in a sequence it all works lol

so I would say if the trim tool cannot cut a solid but the trim tool can cut surfaces step by step the trim tool is a tool ... 😉

Hi, unfortunately trim works as it works, in model envronment you can use Split Body, or Boundary Fill, and I don't think we can call this behavior a bug, it works that way by design.

I see what you mean but that is a pitty.

Here is how trim (not split) just works in Rhino on water tight shells:

While the boundary fill is often quite cool if I am not a big fan of it in many cases because it plasters

To use split on a solid makes sense in Fusion but it would be nice if trim would do well just trim while adding

in the missing side face. Obviously in my case a trim cut open could be nice as well.
