Possible Bug, have chamfer but was never created.

While modeling along with a tutorial I came to the end and noticed a deviation in my model versus theirs. Mine has a chamfer shown in the picture, but I never added the chamfer. I then "right clicked" on the chamfer and went to "edit feature" which then took me to my original sketch which did not have a chamfer in it. Any idea as to why my model has this feature? This software will be a bit of a hindrance if it randomly puts in geometry where it's not needed.

"Edit" Model attached in case that helps.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

It looks to me like you cut the edge at the same time you cut the "cross" feature.

The timeline will end all doubt.

Also - you might indicate the url to the tutorial.

I was still figuring out how to export to a model, but it's here now.

I've only used Fusion for a couple days now. If I did cut it with something else (which is entirely possible) shouldn't the feature (chamfer) be linked to that action and not the beginning sketch?

"Edit" The tutorial is through plural sight, so it's a subscription. But below is the link to what I followed.

You made mistakes in your sketching.

Can you post screen capture of the source dimensions so that I can show which dimensions are incorrect on your model.

Edit:  I found several different user input errors.

Here is a screen clipping of the sketch for my initial model. I did notice when I messed with the upper right horizontal line it shortened or lengthened the

chamfer edge. But I don't know why.

I don't need the image of your sketch - I have your file.

I need image of where you are getting your information.  This looks like one of the SWx CSWA practice files, do you have a youtube link or image of the part dimensions you are attempting to reproduce?

I will post video of issues in a few minutes.

Sorry, I don't understand. I followed a tutorial, but they were working in MM and I usually work in inches so I chose to double their MM to inches based on the following:

100mm = 2inches

32mm = .64 inches.

This is not meant to have any relevance, instead so I can model something while following along to learn the interface and commands of fusion.

You want the original sketch dimensions, what does that have to do with the chamfer that I some how created?

I didn't have a plan or PDF to follow the dimensions I just went as they were spoken in the tutorial.

I am looking forward to seeing what you've put together with my errors. No doubt there are plenty.

Turn on your sound.

Edit Sketch1.
Delete the 1.2 dimension.
Add 30° angle dimension.
Stop Sketch.

So I did turn on my sound, but I didn't hear anything.

That being said, I see now how I am stupid. In the (original tutorial) video I still don't see the center of the circle being constrained to the origin but that is what I left out. Also the double dimensions in the beginning of the sketch (your video), not sure if that is a by-product of my process (which was just a click for click tutorial) or something else. But I did see what you were pointing out.

Thanks for taking time to show me where I went wrong.
