Hello,
today I was following the YouTube Video: 360 LIVE: Design a 3d Printed Flag Pole Mount: https://www.youtube.com/live/dt_kkO-ojcM?si=kHNMQ7Jyi8WvRFAe&t=3894.
I want to create the Emboss of MADE IN U.S.A on the side, but I didn´t want to do it the way it was presented in the video, because I know that the Emboss Feature exists. I tried to use the emboss feature, but it didn´t really work. I get an error message: Error: Cannot create emboss feature. Adjust sketch profiles, faces, emboss depth, effect, or alignment options. This error message is to general, and I can´t really figure out while the emboss feature ist not working. Could someone help me? File is uploaded below.
Hi,
The reason is that the selected font causes intersections during embossing. You can see it in the exploded outlines.
Select a different font.
Or remove the overlaps:

SOLUTION: 1. Activate Emboss
2. Uncheck 'Tangnet Chain' in the Emboss dialog. * Very important. This must be done *
3. Select the sketch profiles
4. Switch to the 'Faces' selector in the Emboss Dialog
5. Select one of the faces of the 3D model.
6. Hold the CMD Key (Mac) or CTRL Key (Windows) to select the remaining faces.
7. Select OK to confirm the Emboss.
