Plane through axis perpendicular to plane

Any way of constructing a plane passing through an axis and perpendicular to another plane? "Plane at angle" derives its angle from the coordinate system which doesn't help me much in this case...

Okay, so there's a semi-quick workaround - create sketch on perpendicular plane, project axis, finish sketch, create plane through two edges (using the axis and projected sketch) ... and voila! Not my favourite though; I hate clutter in my tree, and it feels like an unnecessary workaround for what should be basic functionality.

BUT...

Now I want to create a plane through an axis and PARALLEL to another plane. Wat nou?

Another workaround?

A three point plane might do the trick as long as you have a point on the perpendicular plane and use the other end points of the axis? Think I know what your trying to do..
