Planar joint not keeping parts coplanar

As seen in the screencast, the animation while making the joint looks correct, but when done it doesn't appear that any constraining was done.

Interestingly, when animated it looks correct:

I discovered that you need to set limits for it to stay in the plane, which seems counter-intuitive, but all is well now.
