How do I specify the pivot point when I rotate the viewport?

Thanks!

I watched the video, in fact I had to watch it twice in order to begin to understand what I was seeing.

I all honesty I found the video not to be very helpful. Obviously you have been using the Fussion product for some time and know how to get it to work for you. I do not know if you realize it but the video is biased towards someone with a fair amount of experience with Fussion 360; it is not for a newbie like myself.   Let me explain this more in detail.

1) The tempo is too fast paced for a newbie.

2) The movement of the mouse around is screen random with large displacements; it is very hard to follow the mouse and pick up the subtlies of location, mouse movement and mouse button depressions.

3) The verbal discription is not syncronized with the actions preformed on the screen. My I suggest you 1st discribe what you are about to do with no mouse movement/keyboard input. (If you can also explain it in terms of addressing a real world scenerio.)  2ndly use precise words when you need to depress a mouse button and move the mouse in a specific manner to produce the effect you want. 3rdly move the mouse slowly and let the mouse pointer hover over the thing/location selected for at least a full second before depressing any mouse button and then hold the depressed mouse button for at least a second. Your audience needs this time to notice and register the significance of what is going on.

I did pick some new things in your video, which highlights the problem of trying to master the Orbit viewing function: one has to learn it through trial and error and getting information in a piece meal manner. There is no comprehensive "document" that covers every aspect and idiosyncrasy of using the orbit function.

I'll pass this on to the guy who makes the videos.

Thanks!

The page was removed for some reason. Here is a screencast explaining it, with sound.

Thanks for letting us know.
