Pivot in the Form context

Dear Sirs,
I noticed that if I move a component and then create a shape the pivot point of the modeling environment gets stuck on the original position and there is no way to position it correctly. Is there any way to fix this?

In the form environment there are no components, only polygons/meshes.

@stefano.pedemonte - can you provide some more information here?  Best would be a video showing this behavior.

Thanks for the answer, attached a screencast where I try to show the point where I encounter difficulties

Ok, I see now what you are doing.

Where would you want for that pivot point widget to snap to?

What would the next action after that be?

After rereading the original post and rewatching the video, I completely missed what you were asking.

for example I may need to scale a selection of points relative to that chosen origin. In short, I believe that it is essential for modeling a shape.

As @whittakerdw has pointed out, you can move that pivot point to another location, lock it there ad then, for example scale geometry around that new location.

Does that answer your question?

I changed my first reply a few minutes after writing it, but after reading @TrippyLighting's post I may not have missed the question of the original post. What my original post had said was when you move the point of the origin you have to click the green arrow in order to lock it, then from there you are able to move or scale the geometry to where you would like it to be. What you were doing in the video was moving the origin but not locking the origin. Once you lock the origin, then you are able to move and scale the geometry.

The problem is that I know how to lock the pivot point in place (click the red flag) but as you can see from the video it is displaced.

I was able to reproduce the behaviour from watching your video.  I think it's a bug. @jeff_strater ?

@adam.helps Could you look at this?

I began noticing the misplacement which is why I felt I originally misread the post. I was paying more attention to what your cursor was doing as opposed to what the arrows and the scale was doing. I then went back and rewatched the video and edited my original post.

I can reproduce it as well.  Thanks for reporting it, @stefano.pedemonte - I will create a Fusion bug for this.

[edit] I created bug FUS-118831 for this issue.

Also, this problem is not limited to just Set Pivot.  If you rotate the component, you can see that the placement of the move triad in Edit Form is also wrong, so the problem is even bigger than that:
