How do I get equal distance between the edges and the holes after creating a pattern?

Hi , 

make the first hole on the center of the shape 

then make your pattern with symmetric 

if they even numbers you need draw a sketch with dimensions

or you can start first hole near form the edge of the geometry and change " distance type " to " spacing "
but in this solution u need to know the length of this edge and make some math
