Pattern on Path

Hello,

I hope you are all well, I really struggling with pattern along a path. I am doing a tutorial/trial for a fidget spinner, from what I can tell from my sketch everything is linked together and is a complete path, I would just like some clarification on this please (image is below).

The second issue I am having is pattern along the path, every time I follow the tutorial and select all the buttons exactly the same and the path it does this. I think my path is a full/complete path so I'm not sure why it is doing this.

Once this has been solved, in the sketch I need to add x6 arc (3 point arc), but I am also having an issue with this as it isn't a complete path and has breaks in it (I think), is there an easier way of checking breaks in paths and joining up two lines that aren't meeting.

Thank you!

Hi,

From your explanation with the screenshots, I cannot see what (object) you want to duplicate at which path.
Please share the design and name the object and path.

Hi,

Select "Faces" for the object and set the starting point to 0.
The option "Feature" is not suitable here.

Hello @g-andresen

I have just tried just but still no luck.

I selected the face and the path, changed the orientation to both path/identical.

I don't know where the problem point is, do you think it is with the sketch itself?

Thank you

here is how to do it:  you have to make sure to select only the rounded faces:

Hi @g-andresen and @jeff_strater

Thank you so much for your help and for the videos! They were very helpful!

I have tried it on my original sketch and it works!

I have tried it on my new sketch and it does not work - if this is because of the sketch please could you show me where I am going wrong and how to rectify it? Or it may be something in my settings maybe?

I have attached the new file again.

Thank you!

Hi,

1. activate the sketch with the path

2. Sometimes it is necessary to start the arrangement on the path with the arrow.
3. Likewise, the end length of the path can be recognised by the black dot.

Hi @g-andresen

Thank you for the second video, when I select the path option I can't select the whole path like you, my path comes up as individual lines/curves which are highlighted in black. I then need to select each of these lines/curves individually.

Whereas, yours selects the path as one and highlights it in blue, mine in pieces. There is more room for mistake from my end in this way. Is there any reason why this is happening? I have attached pictures.

Thank you

I have attaches images explaining.

Thank you, I've googled it and saw you clicked away from the frame of the video.

You've been a great help!
