pattern on path length parameter

I was trying to figure out a way to use the length of a spline as a parameter, and thought I would see if I could pull the length out of the pattern on path command.  obviously doesn't work.  but what I don't get is why I don't get some kind of error.  it's strange that I could set 2 diminsions to the same parameter name, and have it show the same result with out some kind of warning.

this seems to be a dependency/compute bug.  After the Edit Feature, the sketch is not recomputed, as it should be.  Compute All sets it right.  I'll create a bug for this...

the bug is FUS-65089 - thanks for reporting this.  It is very strange, I admit.  Sometimes even Compute All fails to update the downstream references.
